1st Line technical support person required for our client, a leading software company, with good Windows knowledge and other operating systems. The successful candidate will is the first point of contact for customers requiring support on any aspect of using our client`s software. This 24x7 job requires practical technical experience of Microsoft Windows platforms. You must be able to work independently and as part of a team, being flexible in your approach to work. Clear, concise and friendly telephone manner are critical, as well as the ability to prepare written material that is understandable, pertinent and well structured. You will have the ability to prioritise and have strong personal organisation skills. You will be able to communicate with all levels of customer and be excellent at providing positive customer service. You will be self-motivated and able to support multiple products simultaneously. Industry or professional organisation certification in computing fields are not required but highly desirable. Duties will include: Providing technical support to customers via the telephone & e-mail systems supporting our client`s products; Attendance and participation in residential and in-house training; Recording and documenting all issues related to customers both internal and external; and Offering support, guidance and training to new starters.
